Questions About Our Cheeses
Yes. It is cheese made of nuts rather than dairy milk. Like dairy cheese, it is made by a process of fermentation, using a probiotic culture. It contains no dairy milk, so it’s both good for you and for the planet.
We believe that the use of animals in the production of dairy products is harsh and unsustainable. There is a better way … and that way is plant-based. We’re proud to say our cheeses are completely free from animal products and always will be.
We start with fine Brazilian cashew nuts, grind them and then culture them with a vegan probiotic culture called Lactobacillus Acidophilus. From there we add our herbs and spices for specific flavors. We never add any soy, oils, or gums.

We are adding retail stores as fast as we can. If your local store or restaurant does not carry Treeline, please ask them to carry it. When you do, please be sure to mention that our distributors are UNFI, Kehe (Tree of Life), Albert’s Organics, DPI and Seacrest. We receive a lot of requests from stores and restaurants and we do our best to respond to them.
Our packaging is designed to be minimal and to maintain freshness and shelf-life so that our products can be as natural as possible. The French-Style and Cream Cheese cheese containers are made of 50% recycled plastic. All of our packaging can be recycled.
Our products should be consumed within 1-2 weeks (depending on the item) of opening or prior to the sell-by date, whichever comes first.
Our cheeses can be frozen for short periods of time, however their texture will be adversely affected the longer they are frozen. They must be consumed within a few days of defrosting.
